Who we are

Bramstrong Precision is a family-owned supplier of custom machined seals, based in California and New York, USA. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Bramstrong Precision. If you have questions about this policy or your information, email service@bramstrong.com.

Information you give us

When you request a quote, register a sample or send a general inquiry, we receive what you enter in the form. This can include:

• your name, company, work email and phone number (optional);
• technical details such as seal type, material, dimensions, quantities, operating conditions and notes;
• files you attach, such as drawings, CAD files and photos.

We also receive the information on any sample you send us and any emails you exchange with us.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, the type of device and browser, and approximate location (city or region). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. We also record when a form is sent successfully, together with the request reference number, but not your name or contact details.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the website and protect it from abuse.

How we use your information

• to answer your request, prepare quotes, identify and measure samples, and follow up on your order;
• to have your parts made: we share the technical details and drawings needed for production with our manufacturing partner, who handles them confidentially;
• to keep your part specifications on file so you can reorder;
• to improve the website and understand which pages are useful;
• to keep records required for accounting, tax and legal purposes.

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your permission.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:

• FormSubmit, which delivers website form submissions, including attachments, to our email inbox;
• Google (Google Analytics and our email service);
• Cloudflare, which hosts the website;
• our manufacturing partner, for the technical information needed to produce your parts;
• shipping carriers, to deliver your order.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Your drawings and technical data

Drawings, specifications and samples you send are used only to quote and make your parts. We are happy to sign your non-disclosure agreement before you share anything sensitive.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The website still works if you block analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep request and order information for as long as we have a business relationship with you and as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal obligations. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in our Analytics account.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Email service@bramstrong.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, for example in California, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will honor requests as that law requires.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to your information to the people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don't send passwords or payment card details through the forms.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
