Large diameter seals, machined up to 1,500 mm
Big presses, mining equipment, cranes and marine cylinders use sizes that catalogs simply don't carry, and moulds for them cost a fortune. We CNC-machine large diameter seals from billet stock, so there's no tooling cost even for a handful of parts.
What we machine in large sizes
- Rod and piston seals
- Wipers and scrapers
- Guide rings and wear bands
- Back-up rings
- Static seals and special profiles to drawing
Where large seals are used
- Hydraulic presses and forming machines
- Mining and construction equipment
- Cranes, lifts and marine cylinders
- Steel, paper and recycling plants

Why machined, not moulded
- No mould to pay for or wait for
- Any size within capacity, not just catalog sizes
- Small quantities and spares are practical
- The material is chosen for your application, from 50 grades
What to send
- A drawing, or the bore, rod and groove dimensions
- Pressure, speed, temperature and medium
- The old seal, if you have it: send it as a sample
Materials: see polyurethane, PTFE and the full material list.
Need a seal bigger than any catalog?
Send the dimensions or a drawing and we will quote it.
Common questions
What is the largest seal you can make?
Our machining capacity goes up to 1,500 mm diameter. For anything larger, ask us and we will check what is possible.
Which materials are available in large sizes?
Polyurethanes, PTFE compounds, rubbers and engineering plastics. We recommend the grade for your pressure, speed, temperature and medium.
Is there a tooling charge for large seals?
No. Seals are CNC-machined from billet stock, so there is no mould or tooling cost.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the seal and size. Tell us what you need and we'll confirm the minimum in your quote.
Can you match an old large seal?
Yes. Use the Send a sample form. We'll email you a reference number and the shipping address in California or New York. Write the reference on the package.
